2009 WoW Meme~
Out Intrepid Heroes
[1:] Who/what are your mains?
A little druid cow. : ) She’s my only 80.
[2:] Which alts were your favorite this year?
o.o Despite having recently made a DK alt for farming, my main is still my first wub.
[3:] How many characters did you get to 60? 70? 80?
1x 60… Only 1 80 :x
[4:] What character are you most proud of and why?
My druid main :X
Around Azeroth
[5:] What was your biggest/most memorable achievement(s) this year? What was the most painful?
TOTGC10m’s Tribute to Mad Skill. I had just joined my current guild and we weren’t actively aiming for the tribute achievement; but it somehow happened, and it was the first for my guild.
[6:] What has been the most fun raid/pve fight so far in WotLK?
Lol gunship battle :D GIMME A GUN. GIMME!!!
[7:] What was your favorite quest/questchain?
Still thinking…
[8:] A lot of powerful lore has been introduced in this expansion. Any favorite bits?
Saurfang and his son in ICC. >_< wtf it’s so… so… sad.
[9:] The rise of the Lich King has changed Azeroth and its people so much. Who’s your favorite NPC(s) in this expansion?
Koltira. omg gimme *drool*

Pilgrim’s Bounty for me. It was all about food. I love food. And the turkey pet that suicides into a campfire :D

Once. I left my casual guild mainly because I felt uncomfortable playing with some people in there (no hard feelings, there were just complications) for a more serious raiding guild.
[12:] What was your guild’s biggest/proudest accomplishment this year?
Not too sure…
[13:] Did you make a lot of new friends? Any mortal enemies?
Not really. I guess I made more acquaintances since I’m trying not to get emotionally attached to anyone in the game.
[14:] Any fun or memorable PVP encounters?
Erm, yeah like the first time I stepped into the arena and rotflpwned the first round, then got steamrolled the 2nd XD
Looking Ahead
[15:] What changes are you most excited for in Cataclysm?
To see the old world revamped, and all those NPCs and quests stuck in time finally move on!
[16:] Which new race/class combos are you going to roll? Got any names yet?
Going to either go for a Worgen druid or rogue. No names at the moment.
[17:] Where do you see your character in the next few months?
Painting ICC’s walls with the Lich King’s dead blood :3
Happy 2010!
May your hits be crits, and your loots be epic!
Ninjas and such.
After reading BBB’s post on a new level to ninjas, I got thinking a little bit more in-depth about the whole vote kicking function. Granted, I haven’t actually been vote kicked before (knock on wood) because I haven’t messed up an instance so bad to warrant it yet, and mainly because I will never ever stay with a PUG group with more than 2 people from the same server (even if they are from different guilds).
I’ve heard too many of such stories to put myself at risk of this, honestly. Especially when the stakes are high and you want to farm a drop that’s highly sought after like Needle-Encrusted Scorpion. Or Reins of the Blue Protodrake.
—
Speaking of the latter, I was farming HUP earlier today for it and had noticed early at the start that I (the tank) was doing the most DPS. I decided not to chain pull and go at an easy pace. Inspecting their gear a little, the party members did not look like they just reached 80 but it really did not matter; everyone was polite, kill order was being followed, instructions from me were heeded–basically it was a very pleasant run though somewhat slower than what most people would expect. And I enjoyed it. Who am I to judge them and tell them they aren’t DPSing enough; things were dying. We were progressing very very smoothly.
To all the polite and willing players out there; you don’t have to pull fantastic DPS to impress this tank. :D Courtesy and common sense will make her love you.
QQs about lore
Sup ladies?
Pondering the consequences of jumping into the Well of Eternity…
Great disappointment :(
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Took me a while to like Howling Fjord.
Now I’m hooked :O
Nothing but a harmless debuff from entering the Well of Eternity?!
So this one time I ventured into a PUG Mount Hjyal raid as DPS.
Then after a series of terrible terrible server lag spikes,
Ended up tank the place with just 8 people in raid.
After which I fooled around the place like a tourist. Even took a few dips in the Well of Eternity. Hey! Why hasn’t my toon turned into something whacky yet?
I’ll probably never have a Forsaken toon; their starting zone is far too gloomy for me.
Sup? Don’t mind this totally non-suspicious lion-smelling female crashing in on your supah secret meeting!
Picnic time!
A strange raid to come home to.
The moment I logged onto WoW this evening, 2 of the guild’s druids told me to get into a Naxx10 raid. Ugggghhhh I hate that place. Not to mention it isn’t this week’s weekly raid. There was a catch; they were doing for the Undying achievement.
And it was an all-druid raid.
What.
I’m in.
We got past Thaddius and frogger just fine, but Heigan pwned too many people (mostly ranged lol). And though my DPS was top, I kept ripping aggro from our very geared tank. It’s the first time I’ve actually been afraid to DPS in a raid for fear of dying (the stress of the achievement and all). Really need to work out a solution for this aggro problem.
- I waited 5 secs for the tank to build aggro
- Popped Cower whenever possible. But the aggro it took off lept back up from critting dots.
- Halp, fellow kitties.
Because violence solves everything.
Dearest Silver Covenant Agent,
I respect your cause for the Alliance though we may be mortal enemies, and my cursor turns into the almighty sword everytime it rolls over you. However, can you PLEASE get the heck away from the innkeeper so I don’t unintentionally attack and eventually kill you?!
Love,
A disgruntled–supposedly peace-loving–druid.
Mounts and more mounts!
I came back from my vacation with a vengeance, and ground Skyguard rep to exalted within 3 days. Woot!
And in time for Hallow’s End too~
Kitteh likes its fish fresh.
On my friends’ 3rd successful OS10 3D run, I won the drake! And was fast becoming one kickarse kiter : )
Yet another foray to farm the Raven Lord mount. I’ve been lusting after that mount from even before starting WoW!
Shortly acquiring my Mechno-hog, I ferried so people around and delighted a few new players :D
Sigh… poor Anzu will have to die again tomorrow.
Despite feeling like puking…
After the routine totc25 last night (urrrggghhhh Death’s Choice went to the warrior instead >.<), the RLs were forming up for ICC10 group #1. The guild has no set roster for 10-man groups, so they were sorting the composite out when I was invited into the raid by RL1. Then received the following from RL2
[RL2] whispers: hmm i was thinking of putting [my IGN] in group 2 cos our kiting for group 1 is perfect, and he’s a good rooter
[RL2] whispers: omg MT much!
[Me]: lol
[RL2] whispers: well you root the adds very well and still maintain above 5k dps
He was talking about the Deathbringer Saurfang fight. :P I was a happy cat. Also received [Whispering Fanged Skull]! Finally something to replace my [Banner of Victory] or [Darkmoon Card: Greatness]! Now I just have to figure out which to replace.
Leaving on a jetplane.
Pretty Azshara, but the terrain is as annoying as that in Blade’s Edge Mountains.
Um yeah I fly without a parachute cloak cos I’m a bird.
Shortly before going on a trip to New Zealand, I decided to park my toon on the eastern mountains bordering Mulgore and the Barrens (only accessible by falling from a zeppelin) and found this. Painted rocks… :O
The area has an unused cave, a bonfire, and a tent.
And it’s got a beautiful view of Mulgore :D
So anyway, I decked her up in her RP gears and left her looking out at Mulgore with her faithful Mulgore Hatchling. Then went AFK for a while to finish packing.
When I came back., there was a troll and elf beside my toon. They said they flew over via zeppelin twice to make sure I was actually a player, not an NPC. After a little chat and romp around the area, they took off, and I logged off to go on that NZ trip with my toon in this location, overlooking her homeland.
AARRRRRR!~!!!!
Cow power.
During Pirate’s Day, I forced a social event down my guildies’ throat.
We started from STV, razing all the alliance towns and players we could find…

All the way to the Wetlands. :D We did not corpse camp, but did not give any quarter either.
A noble Alliance hunter followed us from Duskwood all the way, trying to catch us off guard. He proved to be the sole one keeping us on our toes : ) After the event was done, I created an Alliance character, thanking him for being a good sport and ended that note with a mutual salute to each other hoping to meet again someday.
Took this shot, commemorating my over 1-year of play in WoW. My first world event was Pirate’s Day 2008.
Soon after, we had Brewfest to deal with!
After numerous attempts at XT’s hardmode, our MT got so frustrated at our failure and decided to make a fish offering to the WoW gods. It worked. We downed XT HM after that o.o;
There are good people out there.
I stumbled upon this treasure among the pile of vile garbage in the General Forums the other day. It brings a tear to my eye.
I will carry you…
…as long as you’re trying.-If you have crappy gear, don’t be embarrassed. So you haven’t gotten lucky on loot rolls, maybe you’ll get lucky this run.
-If you can only put out 1.5k DPS, you won’t hear me complain, I have enough DPS for all of us, it’s cool.
-If your tank gear kinda sucks, that’s cool, we’re in heroics so you get can better gear, I’ll make sure not to be so front-loaded bursty for ya.
-If you’re struggling keeping us all healed, I won’t complain if you send that must-need heal to the tank and I die. I won’t bemoan the repair costs, I won’t call you trash. It happens.
-If you don’t know the boss fights, I’m happy to explain, just ask. And I give good explanations too, completely without any snarkyness.
-If you’re slow to get stuff figured out, I’ll be patient with you. We were all new once.
-If you get lost in the maze that some of these instances are, I will happily come get you, and lead you back to the rest of the party. No thanks needed, but always appreciated.
-If you need that item to make your toon better, don’t feel bad clicking that need button. However
-If you’re going to bad-mouth random people in the group for simple things, GTFO.
-If you’re going to whine that you didn’t get a particular drop, GTFO.
-If you’re going to spam recount after every pull to flatter your ego, GTFO.
-If you’re not really going to try and just spam FoK every pull or something, GTFO.
-If you’re just going to be a miserable person to play with, GTFO.Otherwise, I’m more than happy to carry you. =)
By Phlimey of Shadowmoon.
Peace, female Dwarf!
Some people just make me go “Whoa.”
This morning I queued for the daily HFoS run (darn trink still hasn’t dropped on any of my runs?!) as DPS. The tank was a Paladin. We wiped on the 2nd trash group and that’s when it started.
Pallie-tank: The healer’s in !@#$ing blues! Get some !@#$ing epics!
Shaman-heals: I’m here for no other reason.
DPS1: Hey be nice.
Me: Yeah, give him a chance. We all start out somewhere. Let’s just be more careful.
Pallie-tank: I’m in full T9s. I will only run with people who can heal good so I can have a FAST run.
DPS1: Then leave.
Me: Indeed.
Pallie-tank leaves.
Me: I’ll tank it -_-
DPS1 (warrior): I can tank it too. Oh wait, your gear looks better than mine.
So anyway, I tank HFOS bearing in mind to give the heals a little bit more leeway, and we breeze through it without a wipe or death. T9 is srs bsn, being only purchasable by EoTs. Wait, don’t those drop from every dungeon now? Big. Effing. Deal. Point being, tanks. The world does not revolve around you. Many of us duel-speccers CAN tank too. Leave, by all means. But you do NOT have to be ass. And you are easily replaceable, just like any other class.
Felt so bad for the shaman heal, but he seemed upbeat and happy that we made it to the end so smoothly. Power to ya, shaman!
And that trink still hasn’t dropped… ><
Proud to be able.
Tending to my soon-to-be raptor mount…
Then off to slaughter some of its relatives…
Pirate-RPing ftw?
Yep, I’m the kiter for OS10 3D zerg. Quite a successful one too if I might say so myself; having survived kiting all 3 drakes and whelps around the instance after the boss went down, and exiting safely on 2 occasions!
NEW FORMS!!!
From an unloved kitty no one wanted to bring to raids, to a powpow machine :D
Shortly before the guild went to take on Hodir for the first time, we break-ed for a wolf party.
Sizing up the enemy…
BEHOLD. THE NEW CAT FORM!!! After 4 years of being down-syndrome lions, tauren druids rejoice in the glory of a worthy cat form!!!
Encountered a bug with my cat form on the day the patch dropped; I was a white lion prior to zoning out of the completed Spider Wing of Naxxaramas, and after taking the portal out, turned into a normal-colored lion. The PUG raid had a good laugh with me. The bug fixed itself when I went to caster form to Brez someone, then switched back to cat form.
Home sweet home!
My first toon was a Night Elf druid. I hated the starting zone (eh Teldrassil in general) and found Mulgore so much more pleasant to play in!
Bear butt power.
Probably very old content…
Cam-ho strikes again!
Epic battle about to ensue…
First time we stepped into the Antechamber of Ulduar, we had already called the raid. But being the foos we were, we decided to run in and wipe just for hell of it.
After that we discovered the abscence of stealth-detecting mobs.
I love the spiky ponytails on male BEs. Male BEs in skirts. HUBBAHUBBA………………….
How the hell did people run through this place in Vanilla?!
3 Vanilla-content noobs step into Blackrock Depths (I have no idea how I convinced them to run through that hellish maze AND complete the attunement + key quests at the same time).
Bear in mind we went the long way; having neither the Shadowforge Key, Direbrew Remote, or even experience.
After the hellish 4-hours, the end is near! We even took a break mid-way to have our dinners…
Sorta like a weird family photo.
We evicted the Emperor from his seat.
Plenty of Vanilla.
Posing before a Karazhan zerg.
A little RP session with my baby DK.
Usually I only RP with her in Silvermoon City, but one occasion a fellow she met insisted she try her sword skills (read: she has very little) in Searing Gorge. After a while they took a tour around Blackrock Mountain.
Traveling to Darnassus to put out some midsummer flames.
The colors of this place make me wanna puke, not so much the bugs.
It’s a jungle out there.
Devulging into RP.
At one particular stage, things in the guild seemed so grim I took frequent breaks to explore the RP realms:
My first RP character, and my first hunter :D Probably wondering if the fish in the river are any good for his kitty.
My 2nd RP character, and my first DK. Loved how the Naxx bosses–ordinarily dreaded encounters of endless farming sessions–are turned into hilarious quest givers! What’s with the animosity between Noth and Heigan?
See Koltira? HE’S MINE.
AFKing at Krasus’s Landing.
My RP DK overlooking Eversong Woods. Yep, that’s noob gear on her.
After a traumatizing round at H-Oculus, the party fools around to work off the terrible stress.
Hanging with trolls.
A place I’ve raided to death and undeath… Was hoping to never step in there again after Ulduar came out, but now with the weekly raid quests, I’m oddly looking forward to seeing KT again.
Yay~ Finally got a Talbuk to call my own.
First thing I did after Patch 3.1 (or was it 3.2) hit was buy the discounted Argent Hippogryph!
Finding ways to slap new angles on old mounts.
Random part of Desolace.
I imagine that when WoW dies, or if I retire from it, I will leave my toon at the peaceful Shadowprey Village, overlooking the ocean before logging off one last time.
So pleasant~
