Globetrotting Azeroth and beyond

PVP is kinda scary

I’m not a PVPer; don’t own any resilience gears, no PVP talents, no PVP trinkets, little knowledge on other classes, and even less experience in the battlegrounds. Heck, even an RL friend (plays a tree) refuses to BG with me because I’ve been known to lock onto my target, and pursue him/her to no end leaving that friend to die. Yet despite being such a noob at it, a few battlegrounds do give me the adrenaline rush without being a sitting duck.

Not entirely sure how it works, but my PVE kitty spec with bear gears seems to serve well against enemy players. Some experience in TotC’s faction champions did hammer in the concept of using all available druid abilities to lock down an opponent, but I still seem very hesitant to switch out of cat/bear form most of the time.

This evening was most exciting; a tree from another server stuck by my fuzzy little butt and healed me through as a gnome rogue, human death knight and gnome warlock kept attacking us. Held out long enough for reinforcements to arrive multiple times. :D No achievements for that, but it was indeed awesome.

A second round had me camping in the flag room of WSG with my Detect Humanoids up. Awesome passive skill to have <3. Didn’t know Feral Charge would work to leap from the ground to 2nd level and proceeded to nab [Not In My House] and [Not So Fast]; veteran WSG-ers were probably facepalming at this :P

Another time in Wintergrasp I was knocked off my mount and backstabbed by a rogue. Managed to switch to bear form to last it out a little to spy on a stealth Horde rogue making his way towards my attacker and consequently backstab him. Oh god I’ve never been so overjoyed to see a rogue, much less be rescued by one. Thanks were abound!

I guess the point of this squee post was to frolic in the revelation that PVP is not entirely unforgiving to even the clueless! And even if I do die to Alliance, it can be fun sometimes!
